Biography

Stephane Camacho Concepcion is a fourth-grade teacher at Talofofo Elementary School in Guam. As a lifelong learner, she strives to instill a love of learning in children regardless of their background. This desire to make a difference motivated her to receive her high school diploma at Guam Community College, followed by a Bachelor of Arts in early childhood and elementary education from the University of Guam. After graduation, Concepcion became an educator with the Guam Department of Education, as well as an instructional coach.

The experience she gained prompted her to further her education. Her continuous education involved researching theories and teaching methods to enhance her capacity to educate her students. She earned two master’s degrees in reading and in education administration and supervision from the University of Guam. She envisioned that her life would take her through different paths to becoming an educator so that one day she could make an impact on a child’s educational journey.

With more than 16 years of educating young minds under her belt, Concepcion continues to be a teacher leader, leadership committee member, curriculum committee member, accreditation chairperson, science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics club chairperson, robotics teacher, early bird tutoring teacher, afterschool coordinator, summer school coordinator and teacher. She frequently collaborates with other teachers, staff, students, parents and the community in hopes of creating a strong foundation for the educational system and ensuring that every child has a chance to succeed in all aspects of their lives.
