Biography:

Jeanie Wilcoxon is a proven winner in the classroom as her students consistently score in the top 3% of all math students in Arkansas. During the pandemic, Wilcoxon’s students scored in the top 1% of all Arkansas math students, setting a high bar for everyone during a tumultuous time in our history. Wilcoxon’s fourth grade math scores were second in the state for the 2021-2022 year. Also, Wilcoxon consistently maintains high Northwest Evaluation Association math scores, with 80% of her students meeting their growth goals.

In her 25 years as an educator, Wilcoxon has been privileged to work with students and teachers in a variety of K-12 settings. She has worked as a classroom teacher, high school coach, tutor and mentor teacher. Currently, Wilcoxon teaches fourth grade mathematics at Chenal Elementary School in Little Rock, Arkansas. She earned her Bachelor of Science in elementary and secondary physical education from the University of Arkansas at Monticello and her post-baccalaureate certification in elementary education from Louisiana State University.

In 2006-2007, Wilcoxon was named Iberville Parish Teacher of the Year and is the current Teacher of the Year for Chenal Elementary School and the Pulaski County Special School District. She was also named the 2025 Arkansas Teacher of the Year.

Wilcoxon’s ability to consistently perform at a high level inspires others and raises the bar for the entire school. Her passion is contagious as she demands the best from herself and her students. After several years of teaching, Wilcoxon found her niche teaching fourth grade math.
