Biography:

Sarah Hardin is a science teacher at Mullen High School in Mullen, Nebraska, where she teaches physical science, Chemistry 1, Chemistry 2, earth science, advanced biology, standards science and botany. She offers two dual credit courses through Nebraska Wesleyan University Honors Academy. Hardin is also a wife and mother of two and brings her passion for family and community into her classroom.

Hardin earned a Bachelor of Science in biology with an emphasis in agriculture from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2003. She received her teaching certificate in 2007 through the Transition to Teaching Program at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. In 2015, Hardin completed a Master of Science in biology from the University of Nebraska. She is a NASA Endeavor STEM certified educator and a National Geographic certified educator. Hardin has been honored with multiple student-nominated awards, including being named an Academic All-Stars Most Influential Teacher three times and receiving honorable mention for Chemistry Teacher of the Year through the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

Hardin believes strong science instruction should build knowledge and spark joy, and that authentic understanding and engagement must exist together.
