Biography:

Pete Daley teaches welding to grades 10-12 at Hutchison High School in Fairbanks, Alaska. He has mentored Alaska students for 24 years.

Daley earned his Masters of Education in career and technical education (CTE) in 2015 from Northern Arizona University. He earned his Bachelor of Science in industrial technology education in 2002 from Bemidji State University in Minnesota.

Daley has received awards from the Association of Career and Technical Education for Industrial Technology Educator of the Year and for Innovative Program of the Year for his summer Girls Who Weld program.

Daley is also a certified welding inspector through the American Welding Society. He inspects along the Alyeska Pipeline throughout Alaska during the summer.

Daley believes in providing high-quality CTE opportunities for all students and meets them where they are. He makes learning tangible and relevant by making learning come alive beyond the school walls through field trips and community partnerships.
